As it happens every year, European Heritage Days 2018 allow you to discover exceptional places which doors are usually closed, excluding to some authorized people.
For example, it’s the case with Paris Ecole des Beaux-Arts, this institution devoted to learning art. Usually open to its students only, the Ecole nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris exceptionally opens its doors to all this September on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16.
You’ll have the opportunity to discover this superb building listed as historic monument. From the Hémicylce d’Honneur painted by Paul Delaroche to the Chapelle des Augustins without forgetting the Palais des Etudes and its windowed courtyard or the library, it’s a collection of architectural and art history of these past 200 years that you can discover on these 2 acres in the heart of Paris.
60-minute long guided tours are held at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday but you can visit the building freely from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
