For European Heritage Days 2019 in Paris, curious and history fans are invited to travel back in time. For an immersion to the heart of the Middle-Ages and the Antiquity, the Musée de Cluny is the unmissable cultural event since its recent reopening.
And on September 21 and 22, 2019, the Musée de Cluny invites you to discover its secrets. It opens its doors for free and gives you access to the temporary “Mysterious Chests” exhibition as well as to the treasure room from its collection. It’s the occasion to discover its most spectacular richness such as “The Lady and the Unicorn”, a medieval tapestry that found its spot in pop cultural though the Harry Potter cinematographic saga, as well as the frigidarium from the Antique baths, a cold room featuring 14-m high vaults.
By the way, if you want to know more about the Thermes de Cluny (also called Thermes Antiques de Lutèce), guided tours are available on European Heritage Days. For an hour, you go and discover these antique ruins dating all the way back to the 1st century, its underground tunnels and the famous frigidarium. Meet on September 21 and 22, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
