The Centre Pompidou is not taking part in the Journées du Patrimoine on September 21 and 22, 2019. The Musée National d'Art Moderne is still open to paying visitors, but this weekend the Centre Pompidou is welcoming families with free workshops!

The Centre Pompidou and the Musée national d'Art Moderne remain open for Heritage Days 2019, but unfortunately the Centre Pompidouis not offering any special Heritage Days activities and no free admission, but families are welcomed with free activities for 2-16 year olds in the Atelier des enfants, the Forum, the Petite salle, Studio 13/16 and the Fabrique.

It's often forgotten, but the Centre Pompidou showcases the work of the Musée National d'Art Moderne, a museum that has been open since 1977 and is always as contemporary as possible. For 40 years, its aim has been to present and explain modern and contemporary art to as many people as possible, with a fairly straightforward itinerary offering visual, sound and smell experiences.

Don't miss Ben's store, sadly closed but full of hilarious messages, andJean Dubuffet's magnificent Winter Garden, a large white polyrethane cavern that can be entered by groups of 12, the exhibition dedicated to Takesada Matsutani, and the exhibition dedicated to Francis Bacon.

And if you want to enter the Centre Pompidou free of charge, join us on the 1st Sunday in October when the museum is free for all!
