Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Modern Art remain open for European Heritage Days 2019 but unfortunately, Centre Pompidou doesn’t provide special entertainments and remain charged but families are welcomed for free activities for 2 to 16 years old in the Atelier des Enfants, the Forum, the Petite Salle, the Studio 13/16 and the Fabrique.
We often forget it, but Centre Pompidou presents works of the National Museum of Modern Art, a museum open since 1977 that aims at being as contemporary as possible. For 40 years now, it aims at presenting and explaining modern and contemporary art to the greatest number with a rather simple tour providing visual, sound and scented experiences.
To see, Le Magasin de Ben, unfortunately closed, but filled with very funny messages and the wonderful Jardin d’Hiver by Jean Dubuffet, a great white cavern made of polyurethane where you can enter in group of 12, the exhibition devoted to Takesada Matsutani and the exhibition devoted to Francis Bacon.
If you want to visit Centre Pompidou for free, come on the 1st Sunday of October to enjoy the museum open and free to all!
