This June 1, the Nuit Blanche will be taking place in the center of Paris. A host of events are planned in every corner of the capital, but a bigger surprise awaits you in the heart of the city. On the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville, and on the banks of the Seine, voie Georges Pompidou, a variety of performances are on offer until 2am.

For this 22nd edition, artistic director Claire Tancons has set her sights on the heart of the town, with a program of unusual and fascinating events that change throughout the night. Expect the unexpected... And especially the unexpected! Here are the details of this original program, to be discovered on the forecourt of Paris City Hall.

The Nuit Blanche 2024 program on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville:

  • Kenny Dunkan, WÉLÉLÉ !!!
    Cultural Olympiad
Performance, from the Hôtel de Ville forecourt (Paris Centre) to the Place de la République (10th arrondissement)
Kenny Dunkan's performance, whose title borrows from a Creole idiom evoking festive, collective joy, reflects both the emancipatory spirit of the mas and the libertarian dynamics of skateboarding. Carnival and skateboarding, whose fundamentally political dimension of spatial occupation is often obscured, or recuperated, is recovered to make visible the now openly multicultural dimension of an urban sport and its protagonists. Dozens of skateboarders will be transformed into human beatboxes, each emitting the nocturnal song of a different creature, from the twilight serenade of birds to the haunting stridency of frogs, to form a vast mobile soundsystem.
