If you enjoy punk skillfully mixed to Celtic music, then I’m sure you know Flogging Molly.
Running since 1997, the band has been created in Los Angeles, United States. But the main instigator, Dave King, is proud of where he comes from…. Ireland! As an outcome, on stage, the band distills a delicious blend of Celtic Punk.
After the release of “Speed of Darkness” in 2011, the band is back in 2017 with “Life is Good”. Recorded in Dublin, Flogging Molly latest album includes 11 tracks between punk rock and Celtic rock.
And let’s say it right away, Flogging Molly is part of the bands you need to see live. It’s perfect since Dave King and his sidekicks will come to France in 2019 as part of a European tour.
In France, two dates have been scheduled. Flogging Molly will first stop by Paris Trabendo on Sunday January 13, 2019. Then, on January 27, they will perform at Lyon Ninkasi Kao.
For the record, leader and guitarist Dave King has created the band with violinist Bridget Regan, guitarist Dennis Casey, accordionist (and former professional skateboarder) Matt Hensley, bass player Nathen Maxwell, drummer George Schwindt and mandolin player Bob Schmidt.
