After taking over the Olympia in April 2019, and the editions 2020 of the Printemps de Bourges and Francofolies in La Rochelle, the talented Rufus Wainwright expects you all this Fall in Paris.
The Canadian American artist will be live on Friday November 6, 2020 at Le Grand Rex for one show during which he’ll perform tracks from “Unfollow The Rules”. Said to be out on April 24, this new album has already unveiled a first and effective single called “Damsel in Distress”:
“Unfollow The Rules” is Rufus Wainwright’s 9th studio album. This disc sounds like the end of the story started in 1998 with the exceptional “Rufus Wainwright”. With “Unfollow the Rules”, the artist keeps his promises. We can see a summary and the climax of his previous albums.
For the record, Rufus Wainwright celebrated 20 years of career in 2019 with a European Tour. Live at the Olympia, the singer, writer, composer was named for a Grammy Award and used this occasion to return to his first eponymous album released in 1998 and that brought him to center stage. The artist didn’t forget to pay tribute to his album “Poses” (2011) marked by hits “Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk”, “California” and “Shadows”.
