Five years after their latest show in Paris, at the Stade de France, Coldplay is back in France. For their “Music of the Spheres World Tour”, the British band plans to take over the Stade de France on Saturday July 16, Sunday 17, Tuesday 19 and Wednesday 20, 2022 for four likely exceptional shows. Chris Martin and his friends will make the most of it to unveil live their new opus called “Music of the Spheres”.
In all, 30 dates have been announced worldwide. Coldplay will kick their stadium tour off in Costa Rica, before heading to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, the United States. Then, the band will go to Europe from July 2, 2022 and for over ten dates on their schedule. Shows are to be performed in Frankfurt, Warsaw, Berlin, Brussels, London and Glasgow. Then, the band will fly to Rio de Janeiro in September.
Coldplay expect you at the Stade de France on July 16, 17, 19 and 20, 2022. The four Coldplay shows in Paris are sold-out for a while, and it is not surprising. But good news for those making it late, the band has announced a very limited number of tickets will be put on sale again for their 4 shows in Paris, to book this Thursday June 20 at 10 a.m. (Paris time) here.
And to top it all, H.E.R. will perform as a guest on July 16 and 17. As for the shows on July 19 and 20, 2022, London Grammar and Lous and the Yakuza will perform as guests.
Always very committed in protecting the earth and the environment, Coldplay wishes to commit themselves as much as possible to take this new tour in a sustainable development approach and emit as little carbon as possible. So far, the tour’s sustainable development plan is being put up together, but the show will be supplied by very low emission renewable energies thanks to solar installation on each site, used cooking oils, a kinetic soil in stadiums and kinetic bikes supplied by the fans. Furthermore, a tree will be planted for each ticket sold!
“Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately why we exist as a band. We’ve been planning this tour for years, and we’re super excited to play songs from across our whole time together.
At the same time, we’re very conscious that the planet is facing a climate crisis. So we’ve spent the last two years consulting with environmental experts to make this tour as sustainable as possible, and, just as importantly, to harness the tour’s potential to push things forward. We won’t get everything right, but we’re committed to doing everything we can and sharing what we learn. It’s a work in progress and we’re really grateful for the help we’ve had so far”, Coldplay stated in a press release issued this past October 14.
