Make Music Day 2019 at the Philharmonie de Paris

For Make Music Day 2019, on Friday June 21, the Philharmonie de Paris will offer you to discover the Demos music education project.

The Philharmonie de Paris is also celebrating its 38th edition of Make Music Day

This year, the huge building set in La Villette welcomes on Friday June 21, 2019 the Démos music education project.

Created in 2010, Démos is a music education project targeting children from 7 to 12 years old living in popular neighborhoods or rural areas also gathering social issues.

It offers to practice classic music with an orchetra for three years. 7 groups of 15 children creating an orchestra rehearse three to four hours a week and meet in tutti twice a quarter a year. The intensity of this practice develop the imaginative and emotional potential of participants as well as their skills to create and develop a social bond.

Today, the Démos project is committed inot thirty territories, ten in Ile-de-France, twenty in other regions across France, including overseas (Guadeloupe and Reunion Island).

Note that this concert held on June 21, 2019 at the Philharmonie de Paris will be open for free by booking.
