For Museums Night, the UNESCO in Paris will exceptionally open its doors to make us discover its art collection on Saturday May 18, 2019 at nighttime.

The UNESCO also known as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has been taking part in Museums Night for a few years. Museums Night is a night giving pride of place to art. For the edition 2019, the UNESCO shines a light on its art collection through a temporary exhibition at the UNESCO House, the headquarters of the organization set in Paris Place de Fontenoy – 7th arrondissement.

This Saturday May 18, 2019, the UNESCO House will open to the public to present masters’ paintings. For this night, the organization displays works by Vasarely, Bogart, Guinovart, Brizzi, Portocarrero. These works create a temporary exhibition, but you can also see the works set in the public areas (Calder, Erró, Giacometti, Miró, Moore, Picasso and even Noguchi) already displayed.

Another novelty for 2019, the UNESCO will present two short movies by La 3e Scène that explore the meeting between classic music and street dance: “The Indes Galantes” by Clément Cogitore and “Grand Hotel Barbès” by Ramzi Ben Sliman.
