Good news for families or people hanging in Paris 11th arrondissement: a new green space has been inaugurated by the Mairie de Paris last week: the Jardin Bréguet!
Between 2014 and 2020, Paris would have opened 30 hectares of additional green space, a bold program led by Anne Hidalgo and her team to enhance the life in Paris, developing then the place of nature in the city.
Set at 27 rue Bréguet, this municipal garden covering 913sqm composes a new place of leisure, relaxation and walk for Parisians, families and tourists.
Built as part of the fitting of the Îlot Bréguet, the new Jardin Bréguet helps setting up Biodiversité and Climat de la Ville de Paris plans through rich and varied plants, creating additional small islands of freshness.
Inside the Jardin Bréguet, pitches, flowerbeds, trees and a playground area, as well as benches, deckchairs and even a water fountain. A place devoted to rest, meetings and walks open to all including people with reduced mobility.
