The Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival 2022, in Paris: Program

This year, the famous Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival is back from Wednesday October 5 to Sunday 9, 2022, with a mouthwatering program between the taste route, the grand parade, the picnic, the closing ball, and the famous vineyard tours!

This Fall, Paris 18th arrondissement will once again live to the same pace as Montmartre's Grape Harvest Festival. Save the date, the 89th edition of this event themed about equality, expects you from Wednesday October 5 to Sunday 9, 2022, with a new program filled with many entertainments.

Since 1934, wine from Clos Montmartre has been celebrated in October for 5 joyful days of popular celebration during which taste and gastronomy are given pride of place. This is the third Parisian most popular event after the Nuit Blanche and Paris-Plages. Over 500,000 visitors are expected again in the streets of Montmartre. Exhibitions, concerts, parades, artisan and local products tastings and various animations will be provided this year again for children and adults, Parisians' and tourists’ greatest pleasure. 

After Keren Ann in 2021, who will sponsor this new edition? Stay tuned to find out. The luxky one will succeed to singer Camélia Jordana, actress Sandrine Bonnaire, singers Nolwenn Leroy, Anaïs, Olivia Ruiz, actresses Firmine Richard, Victoria Abril, model Naomi Campbell, actress Carole Bouquet, singer Angunn as well as to singer Mistinguett who’s been the first sponsor of the Festival back in 1934.

As it happens every year, the Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival will delight Parisians and tourists with an eclectic and festive program: taste route, children choir, fitness class, parade, harvest, and ball.

Program of the Festival 2022:


When presented the program by 18th arrondissement mayor Eric Lejoindre, the audience will discover the hearing/deaf duo with Levent Beskardes and Aurore Corominas. They will share their vision of equality in poems of silence and deliver their own interpretation of the European hymn according to Schiller. That night, enjoy group Skate Buddies and a DJ set provided by RZO.

A live music festival will take us to the diversity of the French music scene for the Montmartre’s Grape Harvest. Young artists will provide shows in 3 venues in the 18th arrondissement: Hasard Ludique, Madame Arthur and Auberge de Jeunesse Yves Robert.

Take part in an exclusive tour of the Clos Montmartre vineyard and discover this atypical location in the city. Historian and lecturer Jean-Manuel Gabert will tell you all about the history of this preserved heritage, that will ensure the future.

Children from schools in the 18th arrondissement will sing for equality with the music teachers of Paris. They explore a musical repertoire in tribute to the fights for equality across the world. On the menu? “Asimbonanga” by Johnny Clegg, “Liberté égalité fraternité” by Enfantastiques, “Ta différence” by Steve Waring, “Poulailler Song” by Alain Souchon and “Aux âmes citoyens” by Aldebert.

Calling all Freddie Mercury fans – aka Queen’s legendary singer! The drama, body and object company, Ô CAPTAIN MON CAPITAINE, will pay him tribute with the “Queen A Man” show, a choreographic performance staged by Cécile Le Guern. This is the occasion for the audience to discover a team of male majorettes in a rock’n’roll outdoor show.

Come and let off steam with “Les Foulées de l’égalité”! On the menu? A nighttime 5-km race in the streets of the Montmartre area. Do not forget the dress code is neon!

It will swing on October 7, 2022, in the streets of the 18th with the Fanflures Brass Band. Come and discover the musical style of these 7 Toulouse performers mixing groove, funk, hip hop and jazz. The merry band will start with a first set at the Marché de l’Olive, before walking to the Esplanade Nathalie Sarraute, via the Jardins d’Eole and rue Riquet.

Flavorsome village at the foot of the Sacred Heart, the “Parcours du Goût” tour gathers a hundred producers from French and foreign terroirs. They come and promote their know-how and the quality of the produces from their regions.

Drawing upon tradition, about a hundred brotherhoods from France and elsewhere will parade in the streets of Montmartre for the Great Parade. From generation to generation, these folkloric groups have lived across the eras thanks to transmission of their customs and preservation of a common memory. Every year, the Great Parade promises a merry and popular show celebrating vines and the story of Montmartre.

Come and discover 5 dancers from the Compagnie Kumo Crew. The latter take you to their identity quest through an urban staged and choreographed show.

The traditional Ban des Vendanges opens in the heart of the Montmartre vines with Alain Coquart – head of the Republic of Montmartre – with 18th arrondissement mayor Eric Lejoindre, COFAS president Eric Sureau, Commanderie du Clos Montmartre and Commune Libre de Montmartre president Alain Valentin. This is the occasion for the Compagnons de la Butte Montmartre to perform Maxime Le Forestier’s song “Né quelque part”. Note the audience can attend the Ban des Vendanges from rue Saint-Vincent and rue des Saules, along the Montmartre vineyard.

The major event of the Montmartre’s Grape Harvest is back on the Place des Abbesses. On October 9, 2022, the 18th arrondissement mayor, Eric Lejoindre, plays along the “non-wedding” game and affiances about twenty couples for eternity. From 10:30 a.m., couples from everywhere will go to the mayor and say “I don’t”!

This year’s picnic will be polyphonic! It opens musically with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, performed by Dominique Paulin at the piano, followed by Nam Anh at the Electone keys, and singer-rapper Samir. Then, enjoy the traditional citizen and convivial picnic where each and everyone is invited to share recipes and bring a dish of their choice. The icing on the cake, several entertainments will be provided on site such as gardening and sport activities (introduction to BMX, boxing and skating).
