Chrome that gleams, engines that purr - Paris treats itself to a full-throttle wake-up! The dimanche 3 mai 2026, the Tour Auto roars to life on the asphalt with a parade that promises to dazzle the dashboards. Even before the opening of the exposition au Grand Palais, the capital becomes an open-air circuit, where vintage bodies roll out like a podium.
Starting at 8 a.m., at the Place de la Concorde, more than 160 classic cars roll out in small groups, in well-drilled squadrons, escorted by the Republican Guard. The procession heads for the Champs-Élysées Avenue up to the Place de l'Étoile, before descending toward the Grand Palais. A round trip that stretches until 10 a.m., and is free to watch from the sidewalk.
For the uninitiated, the Tour Auto is an exceptional rallye de voitures anciennes that runs from Paris to the south of France, bringing together iconic models each year that trace the history of motorsport.
