Upcoming Holiday Activities at Breteuil Castle:

  • "Kitchen Traditions of the Past"
    Family Activity
In a castle, just like at home, the kitchen is often a lively place! At Breteuil, the kitchens you can explore today have been preserved as they were at the end of the 19th century. In the staff dining room, the family chauffeur shares space with the maid. Near the stoves, the chef prepares meals under the watchful eye of the governess. Butter churns, coffee grinders, mortar and pestles… All tools are still in place. It's a real journey back in time! But would you know how to use them?
During this tour, children are invited with their families to discover a kitchen as it was 100 years ago, followed by hands-on workshops.
    Every day from February 21 to March 7, at 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 4:45 p.m.
Suitable for ages 6 and up
    Duration: approximately 1 hour
Price: €3 extra, payable on top of the "Château, Gardens, and Perrault Tales" entry fee
