On the occasion of the 35th edition of the Fête de la Science, many institutions across France are promoting scientific culture and research through events that are often playful and accessible for the whole family, from October 2 to 12, 2026.
And like every year, this new edition is open to all and free of charge. It's a great opportunity to learn more about the scientific advances made every year, and to gain a better understanding of the world around us.
That’s the aim, in any case, of the city of Vitry-sur-Seine in the Val-de-Marne (94), which this autumn is rolling out a full slate of science-focused activities. Workshops, experiments, meet-ups and family-friendly activities help the public better understand research and various scientific disciplines, in a town where science outreach and cultural mediation feature prominently. At the heart of flavors at Créteil-Vitry IUT
What lies behind the flavors of our daily lives?
On the occasion of the Science Festival and in partnership with the city of Vitry-sur-Seine, the IUT de Créteil-Vitry invites you to an immersive journey into the heart of food.
Put your senses to the test, observe microbes, uncover the secrets of aromas, explore molecular gastronomy and the technologies that analyze what we eat, while examining the economic, health, consumer, and environmental dimensions. Interactive activities, demonstrations, and conversations with the IUT teams and students will offer a fresh perspective on what we eat every day.
Participation requirements:
• Target audiences: 3–6 years, 6–11 years, 11–15 years, 15–18 years, 18–25 years, 25 years and up
• Conditions: Free admission
