Science Festival 2026: workshops and activities for kids centered on the sense of smell in Paris

On the occasion of the 2026 edition of the Fête de la Science, on Saturday, October 10, a number of workshops will welcome young audiences, notably at the City’s Educational Issues Hub in the 12th arrondissement.

In Paris, the 2026 Science Festival unfolds within the Pôle des Enjeux Éducatifs Contemporains (PEEC). This City of Paris facility, tied to the education sector, sits on Rue de Reuilly in the 12th arrondissement. It hosts programs and partners addressing the latest education challenges and, from time to time, runs workshops for children and for educational practitioners. The City of Paris has notably opened its premises to the Planète Sciences association to support science and space outreach activities.

The PEEC is therefore neither a science museum nor a higher education institution. It is a municipal educational space, used to develop projects and activities around contemporary topics. Science, the environment, digital technology, or teaching methods can be explored there through workshops and experiments. This approach relies especially on hands-on exploration and play to make certain concepts accessible to children.

As part of the Fête de la Science 2026, attendance at the announced activity is free, but the registration is mandatory. The event is open to children and teens aged 6 to 15 years and will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with three consecutive one-hour sessions.
