Zoo de Beauval celebrates the birthday of the baby panda, the program of activities

Ah, the panda twins at Beauval Zoo have really grown up! Yuandudu and Huanlili are already 1 year old. One year ago, two tiny female pandas were born at 1.03am and 1.10am, weighing in at 149g and 129g respectively. To celebrate this anniversary in style, a whole range of activities are planned for this special day.

This way to the program :

• 8 a.m.: ZooParc opens

Scattered among the paper maps handed out at the entrance to ZooParc de Beauval and distributed to the day's visitors who have purchased an admission ticket, is one of the 5 golden tickets! This ticket entitles the holder to an exclusive behind-the-scenes activity at the ZooParc de Beauval, to be carried out on the day of the event, at a predetermined time specified on the ticket. So, will you be lucky enough to get up close and personal with the animals of the savannah, the dome or... the Chinese Heights? You'll find the answer inside the map you'll receive from our receptionist on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

• 9 a.m.: panda cake

From 9.00 am, a cake will be placed in the twins' outdoor area. This icy treat should be of great interest to our pandas, who love the ice creams prepared for them by their caretakers on hot days. Using young bamboo shoots, the carers make ice creams that the pandas can enjoy by holding them as they would a bamboo cane. They love it! So let's hope they'll be just as delighted with their superb ice cream cake!

• 9:30 a.m.: ZooPass Premium event

At 9:30 a.m., "ZooPass Premium" members can share a special moment with the directors of the ZooParc, the Delord family, over a cake baked for them by our hotels' head chef. They'll also have the chance to enter a draw for a 6th golden ticket...

• 10:15-11:30 a.m.: meetings and book signings

After the private "ZooPass Premium" event, all visitors will be able to meet the Delord family (Delphine, Sophie and Rodolphe) from 10:15am, for discussions and autographs until 11:30am.

Nearby, a make-up stand offers the prettiest panda faces. Use the photocall to take your best photos!

As a reminder, everyone is invited to wear black and white clothing in honour of the giant pandas! Photographers are on hand to immortalize visitors' outfits.
