The Pont Neuf Cave: work on JR's giant installation begins in Paris

Starting this Monday, May 11, 2026, the Pont Neuf begins a transformation. JR has begun assembling La Caverne du Pont Neuf, a monumental installation that will turn Paris’s oldest bridge into a vast open-air immersive cave. Blending optical illusion, inflatable structures, and light shows, the artist promises a spectacular experience to be unveiled from June 6 to 28, 2026, inviting visitors to cross a temporary mineral fault at the heart of the capital.
