To make this unusually cold winter a bit easier, we've put together our top picks for meditation. Practice daily—just 10 minutes a day is enough to start feeling the benefits!

This winter of 2020 promises to be truly unusual. While this challenging time may bring its share of hardships, it also offers a chance for growth and change. Of course, confinement can be seen as a time to reconnect with oneself, but it can also serve as a pause—a moment to reflect and plan for what’s next. In any case, this situation is unavoidable and leaves us with few options.

However, in the face of the shrinking outdoor space we're confined to, there's still one area where we have some control: expanding our indoor horizons. To help you stay calm, we're sharing our top picks for meditation spots and practices to keep your mind at ease.

  • Applications available in both French and English

Firstly, there are **meditation apps** available. These offer various formats, covering different themes, and typically require a paid subscription either monthly or annually. One of the most well-known is Petit Bambou (€6.99 per month or €59.88 annually).
For those who enjoy meditating in a different language — which can often help relax the mind even more — we recommend the app Headspace (€12.99 per month or €57.99 per year). You can start with their free trial to see if it suits you.

Even on its own, the Métamorphose podcast by Anne Ghesquière is truly inspiring. But in addition to interviewing inspiring personalities each week, Anne Ghesquière also regularly invites guests to lead twenty-minute meditations on specific themes. We especially recommend the session by ethnobotanist Romuald Leterrier "Discovering your inner chaos to receive messages from the future", which feels particularly relevant at this time.

Deepak Chopra is one of the most renowned figures in spirituality worldwide. On the Chopra Center website, you'll find a variety of meditations—both free and paid—as well as 21-day themed programs, which are also available at no cost or for a fee. You might already be familiar with one of their most popular programs called "The 21 Days of Abundance." Currently, you can join the program that started on October 19, 2020, titled "Hope in the Face of Uncertainty," which is especially timely! We also particularly recommend this meditation on the power of intention—absolutely magical!

To meditate with others and feel connected, you can also sign up on the platform Euthymia, which offers live guided meditations via Zoom. It’s free and open to everyone. Sessions run at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, and at 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on weekends. After each session, participants have a chance to share their thoughts. The guided meditations themselves are later available for free on the Euthymia YouTube channel

Get ready for a peaceful and stress-free winter of 2020!
