France's national holiday is July 14th ! It commemorates the storming of the Bastille, a symbol of royal power, as well as the national and consensual Fête de la Fédération of 1790. And in Palaiseau, this event is celebrated just like in the rest of Ile-de-France: with music and lights! This pretty Essonne commune, a favorite with writers, is organizing a festive evening for the Fête Nationale 2025 on July 13.
Many towns organize parties on July 13 or 14, with entertainment, a ball and a fireworks display to round off the evening. In Palaiseau, the town invites you to join the fire department on July 13, 2024, from 7.30pm. Head to the fire station on rue Gutenberg for a wildly popular ball!
Dance, laugh and have fun with the Palaiseau firefighters, to the rhythm of the greatest French and international hits. In short, make the most of this exceptional evening: July 14 is a public holiday, so you can sleep in and recuperate from this crazy night!
Then, at 11 p.m., we meet at the Georges Collet stadium to watch the magnificent fireworks display that lights up the sky with a thousand colors. It's sure to be an impressive spectacle, as it is every year!
We wish you a wonderful Fête Nationale in Palaiseau!
