Aerocène en fête, a festive family balloon event at Hangar Y on July 14

Near Meudon, in the Hauts-de-Seine department, Hangar Y is the must-see artistic venue in the area: formerly the airship hangar of the Île-de-France region, it's now a veritable museum in the heart of nature, where you can discover beautiful exhibitions about our flying machines. Airships, balloons and hot-air balloons will no longer hold any secrets for you!

This Friday, July 14, 2023, Hangar Y is organizing Aerocène en fête, a day of festivities around balloons and zero or low-carbon flight, with entertainment for young and old from 11am to 6pm. The program for this unique event includes solar balloon flight demonstrations, the Aerocène exhibition, a participatory historical fresco on the history of low-carbon flight, and DJ sets all afternoon... For younger visitors, creative workshops are also on offer throughout the afternoon, with a beautiful parade in the Hangar Y park.

Described as a cultural venue at the crossroads of art, science, technology and nature, Hangar Y officially opens its doors on Wednesday March 22, 2023, after months of renovation work and more than 40 years of closure. All activities are free of charge, and all you need is a ticket to enter the Hangar Y grounds.
