A not-to-be-missed summer event, the Fête nationale returns on July 14, 2023. Like every year, it's a chance to enjoy a free evening with friends and family, dancing at the bal populaire and marvelling at the fireworks. This traditional event has been celebrated every year since the Fête de la Fédération in 1790, and the storming of the Bastille the year before. The event celebrates the unity of the nation and the advent of the republican model.
Santeny, in the Val-de-Marne region, will be taking part on Friday July 14, 2023. Many towns in the Paris region celebrate the Fête Nationale on the 13th, the 14th or both days. Each town has its own traditions and celebrations.
