Alfortville, in the Val-de-Marne region of France, is inviting us to take part in its national holiday this July 13, 2023, with a special theme: enjoy fireworks and a popular ball to the rhythm of musicals.

The commune ofAlfortville is organizing a big party, and we're all invited... This July 13, 2023, celebrate the national holiday in this Val-de-Marne town, and enjoy free entertainment for the whole family. Join us in the Parc de l'Île au Cointre for dancing and a spectacular fireworks display.

Located in the heart of the 94 department, the town is bordered by Créteil, Charenton-le-Pont, Choisy-le-Roi and Maisons-Alfort. Maisons-Alfort and Alfortville share a special and unusual history. In the 19th century, Alfortville was just a district of Maisons-Alfort. It was a restaurateur by the name of Charles Perrié who began referring to the area as Alfortville, under the guise of humor. This new identity stuck, and Alfortville officially became its own commune in 1885.

The town is home to many points of interest, including a giant fresco at the Hôtel de Ville, a mosaic by the painter Fernand Léger, an amazing tourist complex called Chinagora... And the Île de Cointre park, which hosts the July 14th festivities.

All in all, there's plenty of fun to be had on Bastille Day 2023!
