The reasons lie in the current weather conditions and the site’s notably wooded character chosen to host the event. When vegetation is dry, even a single spark can quickly pose a danger. The decision is therefore made with public safety in mind, and also to safeguard the park’s natural heritage.

The event isn’t definitively canceled yet. Organizers are currently weighing options to postpone the fireworks to a later date, outside drought periods. This new date has yet to be set.
