Fête Nationale in Malakoff (92): Fireworks, Wampas concert, popular ball on July 13, 2025

Once again this year, the town of Malakoff is celebrating the Fête nationale 2025 in style! But like many other towns in the Ile-de-France region, the Hauts-de-Seine town has decided not to celebrate on D-day, but the day before. Don't get the wrong date! Head for Malakoff on Sunday, July 13, 2025, for a full program of festivities!

What's on the program? A rock aperitif, concerts in the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, the traditional fireworks display, and, of course, a popular ball to dance the night away with friends and family - all free of charge, as usual!

Program for the Fête nationale 2025 in Malakoff :

Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 6:30 p.m., everyone is invited to the Grand bal pop' on Place du 11-Novembre-1918! Concerts, fireworks and dancing are on the menu for this festive event to celebrate the Fête nationale.

After the fireworks and the ball, free shuttles will run in a loop to Barbusse, Stalingrad and Valette between 11pm and 1am, so you can return home in peace. Departure from 25, rue Béranger.

• Musical aperitif on the terrace to kick off the evening. Starting at 6.30pm, take a seat on one of the square's terraces (Brasserie de la Place, L'Hirondelle, Brasserie de l'Hôtel de ville, L'Herbe rouge, Le French café) for L'Apérock, a convivial moment of music, punk and rock'n'roll. The Clash, the Ramones and the Sex Pistols will be playing as you sip your drink. The Rocky Bar, run by Asiam, Ségou à Paris and Tréso, will be serving draught beers, softs and mezze under the market hall. Fries will be catered for at the God save the fries food-truck. Those with a sweet tooth will be able to savour Martinez's famous ice creams, or sample the sweet treats of Johnny Be gaufres, a travelling crêperie.

• Crafts and delights at the Rock Market. Throughout the evening, stroll through the Rock Market to discover jewelry, embroidery and rock'n'roll accessories by Defné Cetin and Kanine, portraits of rock icons by JBC, and don't miss the book signing session for Punk ouvrier by Didier Wampas himself.

• Time for the concerts! 8pm: Ditter: This supercharged rock trio electrified Rock en Seine with their joyful, committed post-punk. 9pm: Les Wampas: A cult French alternative rock band led by the indefatigable Didier Wampas, they promise an explosive, funny, offbeat and highly energetic show. Not to be missed!

• Fireworks...punk! A grand fireworks display will be launched from the Place de la Mairie, with a punk-rock soundtrack to prolong the evening's electric atmosphere.

• Bal populaire. Hit the dance floor! Rock, swing, hits of yesterday and today: the Carmen Orchestra, a lively group of conservatory teachers, promises rhythm and atmosphere to keep you dancing until the end of the evening.
