Every year, France marks the occasion of July 14th. Not surprising, since it's the country's national holiday! During this public holiday, the four corners of the country come alive to the rhythm of traditional celebrations, including fireworks displays, pyrotechnic shows of all kinds, popular balls, firemen's balls, torchlight processions and other festive events. A summer highlight not to be missed!
In Paris, the festivities include an impressive military parade and an iconic fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower, no less! And while the City of Light is sure to attract plenty of attention, the rest of the region is also in the thick of the festivities! All over the Ile-de-France region, numerous towns and cities unveil a festive program for the Fête Nationale, generally spread over July 13 and 14. For some, it's an opportunity to enjoy the celebrations close to home, while for others it's a chance to discover the treasures of the Paris region.
The Seine-Saint-Denis region is no exception, with a host of events to delight young and old alike. One example is the town of Gagny, which is also taking part in the festivities! If you're in this commune of 93, you can take advantage of the opportunity to stroll along the Dhuis aqueduct or admire the Bois de l'Étoile arboretum!
The 2025 Fête Nationale program in Gagny, Seine-Saint-Denis (93)
Every year, Gagny celebrates the French national holiday with a patriotic ceremony in the morning and a fireworks display in the evening.
COMMEMORATION
On the morning of July 14, a patriotic ceremony celebrates the Fête de la Fédération, which took place on July 14, 1790 on the Champs-de-Mars in Paris on the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. Gabin residents are invited to gather in front of the town hall in the morning, in the company of the town's elected representatives and veterans' associations. The Marseillaise is played, and the colors are raised.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY
On the evening of July 14th, residents of Gabin and surrounding towns gather around the Lac de Maison Blanche to watch a grand fireworks display. Yellow, blue, red and green rockets are reflected on the calm waters of the lake, which offer a symphony of lights for the occasion.
