July 14th Bastille Day in Pontoise (95): fireworks cancelled, entertainment maintained

It's the big return of the Fête nationale in the Ile-de-France region, and now more than ever is the time to choose where you're going to celebrate this July 14, 2023. In Pontoise, the fête promises to be a gourmet affair, with a Republican picnic starting at 12:30 pm. The fireworks display will not take place this year, as the organization and security of the event were deemed too onerous. That said, there will be no shortage of entertainment throughout the evening.

Friends and families are invited to join us on the banks of the river Oise for an aperitif from 12.30 to 1.30 pm. Bring your own picnic or eat directly on site. Note that musical entertainment is also expected, just to set the mood!

Program:

• 9:30 am: Rendezvous at Place du Souvenir, then Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, for the departmental ceremony commemorating Bastille Day.
  
• From 12pm: meet on the esplanade l'Office de Tourisme for a Republican picnic.
  
• An aperitif will be offered by the Town Hall between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.
  
• Then, to prolong the moment, a large picnic will be organized on site. You're welcome to bring your own picnic, or take advantage of the various catering options available on the esplanade.
  
• Musical entertainment will brighten up this convivial moment.
