The town is also home to a major museum dedicated to model railways, the Rambolitrain, as well as the Palais du Roi de Rome, the national sheepfold and the listed Saint-Lubin-et-Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. A beautiful heritage to discover!

Rambouillet's fête nationale program:

  • Several highlights will punctuate the national holiday celebrations on Sunday, July 13. At 5:30pm, Place André-Thome and Jacqueline-Thome-Patenôtre will host the traditional patriotic ceremony, followed by a cocktail reception hosted by the city in the garden of the Palais du Roi de Rome.

  • Then it's time for the festivities, with a pyrosymphonic show starting at 10:45 p.m. on the Rondeau site in the Château grounds. The show will be produced by Arteventia, a local company that won first prize at the Feux de la Ronde (Montreal) in 2024. To give you plenty of time to take in the sights, the gates will open at 8.30pm.

  • To close the evening, a popular dance hosted by the group Lec and the sixities (rock and rockabilly from the 50s to the 70s) will be on offer until 1:30 am.

The fireworks are of course free for all to enjoy. Happy Bastille Day to all!
