Oh oh oh, Christmas is coming, and with it the delicious Yule logs that will take pride of place on our table. This year, Poilâne has come up with a yule log that's a little bit special, like something out of Grimm's Hansel & Gretel.
Gingerbread, the common thread running through Poilâne's creations for the 2018 festive season, takes pride of place in this generous Bûche Ronde with its sweet flavors of honey and spices.
Made with the unique blend of spices that the Maison selected 10 years ago for its original recipe (little spoiler, there's a hint of Sichuan Pepper in there!), the gingerbread is paired with a cream scented with lemon essential oil, and the cake topped with shavings of Michel Cluizel 73% dark chocolate. This gingerbread log is a light delight that melts in the mouth. It's so tasty and addictive, you could easily take a second and third slice! Available in Poilâne boutiques from December 8.
