Christmas 2023: Fontainebleau ski resort with tartiflette party, Christmas market and little train

In December, it's time to celebrate Christmas with the whole family in Fontainebleau, right next to the famous château! This year, the town transforms itself into a ski resort, offering gourmet dishes and winter sports! To kick off the festivities on December 16, 2023, enjoy a cheesy tartiflette party starting at 7pm, an evening with DJ Snowflake and a poetic, dance-filled stroll through the streets of the town. Don't forget your ski suit and moonboots, of course!

From December 15 to 17, head down to the Fontainebleau les Monts ski resort for local shopping at the Christmas market, filled with hand-crafted treasures and winter delights, between chocolate and mulled wine, in the frosty stands of this ski resort just a stone's throw from Paris! There's plenty of free entertainment for all the family, including balloon sculptures and the chance to meet the famous Santa Cl aus and give him your gift list!

Get out your sleds and bonnets from December 23 to January 7 to enjoy the Christmas village, in a wintry setting as if you were at altitude! Experience the thrill of tobogganing with the whole family on a specially-designed toboggan run, attack your friends by throwing snowballs, or hop aboard a little Christmas train for a delightful ride through the glittering illuminations.

Don't forget to look up to admire the town's decorations throughout December and until January 11, 2024, in the squares whose names have been changed for the occasion: massif des Trois Tilleuls, col du Manège or du Marché, and walk between the gondolas, fir trees and chalets! Take a ride in the Christmas horse-drawn carriage through the streets of the town center, and watch with your children as the Christmas mascots make their way through the town, amidst a host of activities for young and old alike.
