Christmas markets aren’t limited to Paris’s major squares! Every winter, towns across Île-de-France put up their Christmas lights, set up their chalets and fill their stalls with gift ideas. In the Hauts-de-Seine, La Garenne-Colombes has already set the dates for Christmas 2026, with nearly a month of festivities on Place de la Liberté.
From November 27 to December 20, 2026, the La Garenne-Colombes Christmas Market will once again set up in the heart of the town. The municipality has put out a call to artisans, creators, shopkeepers and producers to fill the chalets with their creations and specialties. It’s a chance to fill your Christmas stocking, find a few handcrafted gifts and stock up on treats for the holidays.
And if you prefer skates to gift-wrapped presents, the good news is that the City is also preparing its 2026 Christmas ice rink, with prices already approved by the city council. The opening dates and practical details have yet to be confirmed, however.
Regulars will remember the 2025 Christmas festivities, which extended well beyond the market aisles. Illuminations, creative workshops, treats and a visit from Santa Claus had all been part of the celebrations. A full day of activities was even organized on December 13 in the city’s various neighborhoods.
It remains to be seen which surprises will return this year! The full program, chalet opening hours and family events are still to come. One thing is certain: in La Garenne-Colombes, the countdown to Christmas has already begun!
