Easter egg hunts 2025 and family activities at Château de Breteuil (78)

The Château de Breteuil, known as the "castle of Perrault's fairy tales", inspired many of the writer's tales, including Bluebeard, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Puss in Boots.... During Easter weekend 2025, the site will be hosting several giant egg hunts on Sunday April 20 and Monday April 21, 2025.

In the undergrowth of the château's grounds, one area is reserved for toddlers (children under 6) and another for older children aged 6 and over. A total of 15,000 eggs are to be found in the two hectares of undergrowth on the estate: the Château de Breteuil egg hunt is an adventure, a challenge, like those of the valiant knights in the fairy tales! Each child must turn over a certain number of coloured eggs to receive his or her share of small chocolate eggs in exchange.

Keep your eyes peeled: three exclusive golden eggs have also been hidden in the Château's undergrowth, and the lucky ones who fall on them will each win a book of Charles Perrault fairy tales! Four major egg hunts are organized each day: at 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm. And once the hunt's over, there's more to come: a host of activities await you in the heart of the Château!

During these two spring days, visitors can enjoy free tours of the castle, sound and light storytelling scenes scattered around the park, not forgetting the labyrinth andchildren's play area, open all day long.

A storyteller also tells Charles Perrault's most beautiful stories in the afternoons, and there's a creative workshop for children to decorate eggs and create Easter nests, for €4 per person (no reservation or registration necessary).

Egg hunts
