Halloween 2025: K-Horror night at the Musée Guimet, free Korean horror films

The Musée Guimet is celebrating Halloween in style with Nuit K-Horror, an immersion in Korean horror cinema, following on from last year's Japanese event. Starting at 7pm on October 31, 2025, two frightening films on the theme of Asian demons and ghosts await you. This exceptional cinema session is accessible to all brave souls, since it's free of charge- subject to availability, of course, as places must be reserved.

An evening for fans of Asian horror cinema, with supernatural stories and an oppressive atmosphere! But for younger visitors, the museum is also offering more poetic and tranquil sessions of Japanese cinema during the All Saints' vacation, on October 26 and 29, 2025.

• Sunday, October 26 at 4pm - On the other side of the sky - Yusuke Hirota - ages 8 and up

Lubicchi lives in the middle of huge chimneys whose thick smoke has always covered the sky over his town. He'd like to prove to everyone that his father was right, and that there are stars beyond the clouds. One Halloween night, the little chimney sweep meets Poupelle, a strange creature with whom he decides to explore the sky.

In the Asada family, everyone has a secret dream: the father would have loved to be a fireman, the older brother a Formula 1 driver and the mother would have loved to be a yakuza wife! The life of a mountain village is turned upside down by a series of murders, as savage as they are unexplained. Two young shamans are called in by a wealthy Korean expatriate family in the USA, concerned about their baby's abnormal behavior, which they quickly recognize as an ancestral curse. When they enlist the help of a geomancer, their steps lead them to a mysterious tomb.
