What to do for Halloween in the 7tharrondissement of Paris? The American Library, Europe's largest English-language library, is the place to go for family fun, with a festive, kid-friendly program that culminates on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
On that day, it's time for the Halloween Extravaganza! On this day, the American library will welcome us with a haunted house atmosphere, and for every age group, there will be adapted activities. From toddlers to grown-ups, we're getting ready to celebrate Halloween in style.
And what wouldHalloween be without its traditional trick-or-treating? The American Libraryinvites youand your children to go trick-or-treating at local businesses, along a pre-defined route, dressed up in costume and carrying your own bag. Please note that while this activity is free for library members, a fee of €10 per family (not per person) will be charged to non-members. For this Trick or Treat, you don't need to reserve your ticket in advance, unlike our other activities.
Two festive celebrations, one for the very young (0-6 years), the Halloween Hop, and the second for the over-6s, the Monster Mash, offer in turn a storytelling reading, a live performance, and a costume contest (note that the jury values home-made disguises). Last but not least, for big kids over the age of 8, a mysterious exploration of the haunted library awaits. Once again, a costume contest is included!
So, are you ready to celebrate Halloween with your family?
