The Maison des Jardies in Sèvres, former home of Rousseau and Gambetta, invites you to discover its treasures during Heritage Days 2017. On September 16 and 17, come and explore the site in a fun way with a theatrical treasure hunt.

The Maison des Jardies, also known asthe"Maison de Gambetta," is open to the public free of charge for Heritage Days 2017.

You can opt for a guided tour at 10:30 a.m. or a self-guided tour in the afternoon.

This winegrower's house, built at the end of the 17th century on the southern slope of the Domaine de Saint-Cloud in the Ile-de-France region, was converted into a country house in the 19th century. It was owned by the writer Honoré de Balzac, then by Léon Gambetta, founder of the Third French Republic, who acquired it in 1878 and died there in 1882.
