Heritage Days 2023 at the Musée des Transports Urbains in Chelles (77)

Horse-drawn omnibuses, buses, streetcars, trolleybuses... Lovers of public transport and vehicles of yesteryear can discover all these machines at the Musée des Transports Urbains, in Chelles, Seine-et-Marne. To mark the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days ) on September 16 and 17, 2023, the museum is opening its doors to all visitors, free of charge.

The museum, created in 1957 by the Association pour le Musée des Transports Urbains, Interurbains et Ruraux (AMTUIR), boasts a fascinating collection of life-size vehicles, scale models, models, photographs, books and illustrations, audiovisual documents, transport-related objects... The museum's jewels include Paris metro cars, omnibuses, steam streetcars... It's enough to take us back in time!
