As a hub of meeting, culture, research, and education, the Collège des Bernardins is a must-visit spot in Paris’s vibrant cultural scene. This stunning building’s cistercian architecture alone makes it worth the trip! Recognized as a monument historique, the site has an adventurous past—serving as a college, prison, and even a military barracks—before returning to its original purpose as a cultural institution. Built in the 13th century, the structure once housed a church, which was later transformed into a stone quarry before ultimately being demolished.
