The Journées du Patrimoine are back in Paris and in Île-de-France on September 19–20, 2026. This 43rd edition shines a light on the heritage of photography and the heritage in peril. Two themes that should inspire the local sites of interest around us.
Every edition, thousands of sites open their doors to the public. Ministries, Parliament, museums, monuments, department stores, the behind-the-scenes areas of transport hubs, churches, recreation or arts centers... All are taking part in this grand celebration of heritage.
A stone’s throw from the Champs-Élysées and the Seine, the Grand Palais, the relic of the 1900 World’s Fair recognizable by its vast glass roof, invites us to enjoy this edition of Heritage Days in Paris. For the youngest visitors, the Grand Palais is also one of the iconic sites of the Paris 2024 Games! This indispensable cultural venueoffers a rich program throughout the year.

Paris Fine Arts Salon
Masterpieces from antiquity to today are on display beneath the Grand Palais’s imposing glass roof for Fine Arts Paris.
In the capital’s most iconic nave, you’ll discover around a hundred prestigious galleries, French and international, plus an exclusive early look at a number of major works slated for the future Musée du Grand Siècle, the event’s guest of honor for the 2026 edition of the fair.
As part of the European Heritage Days, Fine Arts Paris will open its doors for free on September 19 and 20, 2026 to the first 200 registrants via the reservation link below.
