From Paris's 1st arrondissement to the Grands Boulevards, the covered passageways and shopping galleries take us into a parallel world, allowing us to explore the capital's right bank in a whole new light. Most of these passages were built in the 19th century, in the commercial districts of Paris where wealthy customers liked to stroll.
These covered streets and galleries are home to many original boutiques, art galleries and museums, restaurants, cafés and various curiosities that make these passages exciting sightseeing tours.
Antiques, Art Deco, "Little India", fashion: each passage has its own particularity, its own identity that makes it so special. Sometimes hidden, these galleries are easily overlooked by the uninitiated. So we're taking every opportunity to (re)discover them!
