Heritage Days are making a triumphant return over the weekend of September 19 and 20, 2026. To mark the occasion, a range of tours and activities awaits you in Lagny-sur-Marne, in Île-de-France. Ready to discover the treasures of Seine-et-Marne?

Attention culture lovers and bargain hunters: here’s an opportunity you won’t want to miss! Each year, on the third weekend of September, the  Heritage Days land across Europe. This flagship event on the cultural calendar invites us to explore our heritage through a wide range of tours and brand-new activities.

For the occasion, museums, monuments, castles, and churches are taking part, unveiling their secrets. Venues that are usually off-limits to the public, including ministries, major institutions, and even embassies, are also joining the event and opening their doors to visitors, exceptionally.

Across the four corners of the Île-de-France, the heritage takes center stage during this exceptional weekend on September 19 and 20, 2026. This is a chance to explore the original programs, often free and designed for all audiences. Whether you’re with family, friends, a partner, or flying solo, there’s something for everyone. And why not take the opportunity to hunt for regional treasures, specifically in the Seine-et-Marne?

The department of 77 boasts a rich heritage that remains too little known! A case in point is the town of Lagny-sur-Marne, a charming hillside settlement perched beside the river. Against this bucolic backdrop, Lagny-sur-Marne reveals a fine medieval heritage to discover during the Heritage Days!

  • Photo exhibition

This photography exhibition showcases vintage wall advertisements that are fading away—those that line the roadsides and the walls of our villages. The images on display trace the history of advertising, those old painted signs that disappear over time due to weathering but also as society evolves and its consumer habits change.

To immerse visitors in an era that has all but vanished, the photographs are accompanied by jingles and audio commercials played throughout the exhibition.
