The Heritage Days are back for another 43rd edition! For this exceptional event that always awaits us on the third weekend in September, to the great delight of culture-visit enthusiasts and curious minds eager to discover.
This event, which takes place all over Europe, invites us to enjoy a program, often free or inexpensive, of original visits, events and workshops, designed for young and old alike, at the heart of our most beautiful heritage treasures. All kinds of venues are up for the challenge: cultural establishments including museums, castles and historic monuments, addresses usually closed to the public, fashion houses, temples of craftsmanship, and much more!
Even hospitals take part in the Heritage Days ballet. And in Paris, one of Europe’s largest hospitals unveils its secrets through a special program planned for the weekend of September 19–20, 2026. The Hôpital de la Pitié-Salpêtrière now stands out for its gargantuan footprint—90 buildings spread across 33 hectares—and its history runs deep: its origins reach back to the 16th century, and its famed chapel was commissioned by none other than King Louis XIV, the Sun King.
