The Journées du Patrimoine 2024 (Heritage Days 2024) take place this year on the weekend of September 21 and 22! This year, the Fondation Dosne-Thiers, located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, welcomes the public for open visits and meetings with academics.

The Journées du Patrimoine 2024 will be held on September 21 and 22 across France and in other European countries. This year's theme will be "Living Heritage", celebrating skills and traditions, and "Sports Heritage", in connection with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
As every year, thousands of monuments, museums and historic sites will be opening their doors to offer guided tours, exhibitions and special events, enabling visitors to discover the cultural and historical wealth of their regions. The Dosne-Thiers Foundation, for example, is organizing free tours and meetings with academics for the occasion.

The Foundation, created at the end of the 19th century, houses an extensive library specializing in 19th-century French history, with a particular focus on the period of the French Revolution and the Second Empire. The Fondation Dosne-Thiers is also a research center and a venue for cultural events, conferences and exhibitions related to history and heritage, which you can visit freely during the Journées du Patrimoine 2024, as well as talk to academics present for the occasion.
