In celebration of the Heritage Days 2025, the Japanese Gardens of Favières in Seine-et-Marne are opening their gates for free on September 20 and 21, 2025. Spread over 7,000 square meters and designed by Sandrine Milic, this tranquil haven invites visitors to pause and reflect — just a short 40-minute drive from Paris.

This is a perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover a unique landscape inspired by Japanese traditions. Nestled in nature, this private garden, conceived and cultivated by Sandrine Milic, offers an authentic immersion into Japanese culture through carefully crafted spaces. Whether you wander through the strolling garden, admire the dry garden (Karesansui), or relax in the tea garden, each area embodies the Zen philosophy rooted in this centuries-old tradition.

The site continues to evolve, having become even more beautiful since our last visit, making this new exploration all the more rewarding. Sandrine Milic drew inspiration from nature and Japanese art to create a space conducive to meditation and rejuvenation.
