Paris unveils its finest treasures for European Heritage Days 2026. Two days to push open hidden doors and soak up the history of the most emblematic museums, monuments, and institutions. The legendary Place Vendôme invites visitors on discovery tours on September 19 and 20, 2026.

Paris is transformed into an XXL cultural showcase for the European Heritage Days (JEP) on September 20 and 21, 2025. Two days during which museums, embassies and major institutions open their doors free of charge, offering new experiences for the curious, enthusiasts and lovers of fine discoveries. Far from routine, it's the ideal time to stroll through history, and look up to marvel at each arrondissement!

This year, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, Place Vendôme makes its debut on the Heritage Days itinerary(reservation required), and the prestige is there! Designed by Jules Hardouin-Mansart under Louis XIV, this octagonal square is a symbol of French refinement and luxury. Its majestic, imposing Vendôme column, perfectly aligned facades and prestigious hotels tell a story of architecture and elegance at every turn. Jewels, historic stones and emblematic institutions: a stroll around Place Vendôme during the JEP is like rediscovering Paris in its most beautiful setting. Heritage with the allure of luxury.

  • A Walking Tour Around Place Vendôme

    Discovering Place Vendôme!

    The Vendôme Committee invites you to a self-guided tour of Place Vendôme and its surroundings. Using a booklet crafted to accompany you along the route, discover the history and remarkable heritage of the Vendôme district.

    Practical information

    Registration by email at JEP2026@comite-vendome.com.

    Meeting point : the exact meeting location, Place Vendôme, will be communicated to you upon confirmation of your registration.

    Free, self-guided tour, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. : a booklet will accompany you throughout your journey.

    The route : the circuit forms a loop. It starts at Place Vendôme, takes you to the Opéra via Rue de la Paix, and brings you back to your starting point. Allow about 1 hour.

  • A playful, interactive tour around Place Vendôme

    Exploring Place Vendôme!

    Take your family on a journey of discovery around Place Vendôme and its surroundings!

    The Vendôme Committee presents a playful quiz designed for children aged 7 and up, inviting them to observe, search, and uncover the little secrets of this iconic Paris landmark.

    Practical information

    Registration: please indicate the number of children when you register by email at JEP2026@comite-vendome.com.

    Meeting point: the exact meeting location, Place Vendôme, will be communicated when your registration is confirmed.

    Opening hours: individual visits from 10:00 to 17:00.

    Start of the route: a game booklet is handed out at the start of the circuit. Be sure to bring a few pencils to complete the activities.

    The route: the circuit forms a loop. It starts at Place Vendôme, carries you to the Opéra via Rue de la Paix, and brings you back to your starting point, where the quiz can be completed.

    Visit duration: plan for about one hour.
