Heritage Days 2023 at France Miniature (78): Immersion in Living Heritage

If you didn't already know, France Miniature, located in Elancourt, is a must. The 5-hectare site features a miniature reconstruction of France. No fewer than 117 of the country's most emblematic monuments and sites are faithfully reproduced, along with 130 varied landscapes ranging from picturesque villages to bustling railway stations and an impressive railway circuit. It's a real miniature tour of France, a unique experience for the whole family.

During the European Heritage Days:

• Nature is honored as an essential heritage to be cherished. It's easy to see why, when you see bees at work.
  
• A beekeeper will be on hand to answer all our questions. We feel privileged to be able to observe the inside of a glazed chimney hive up close.
  
• Who can resist a honey bar? It's a chance to taste and enjoy this sweet treat while learning more about its production.
  
• Thebeeswax candle-making workshop promises to introduce us to this ancestral art. A fun and educational activity.
  
• And for those who enjoy a little ecological hunting, an insect-collecting escapade will be organized. After careful observation, the insects will be released back into their natural habitat, a gesture of respect for our environment.

All these activities are offered at no extra cost to park visitors. They start at 1pm, and it's advisable to come early, as places may be limited.
