Heritage Days 2026: in the heart of the Musée des Arts et Métiers' reserves in Saint-Denis (93)

On the occasion of Heritage Days, the Museum of Arts and Crafts opens the doors to its storerooms in Saint-Denis (93) this Saturday, September 19, 2026. More than 80,000 objects are catalogued, restored and preserved there since 1994. Note: registration is mandatory!

Looking for a fresh, unseen visit to mark this year’s edition of the Heritage Days? Then head to a Seine-Saint-Denis, and more precisely to the reserves of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, which will open its doors to us this Saturday, September 19, 2026. This venue, normally closed to the public and located in Saint-Denis, houses the heritage collections of the Museum of Arts and Crafts!

Take a guided tour on your own, with friends or family, and discover the aisles of the museum's conservation stores and restoration workshops. These hidden treasures allow us to learn more about the Musée des Arts et Métiers, and those who conserve and restore its heritage objects.

Here, we take a behind-the-scenes look at the conservation of a unique heritage of scientific knowledge and technical progress. Saint-Denis is home to over 80,000 objects and drawings, protected in the reserves of the Musée des Arts et Métiers. This museum is rarely open to the public, so take advantage of the Journées du Patrimoine to visit it for free!

    The bulk of the collection (80,000 objects and 15,000 drawings) held by the Musée des Arts et Métiers is stored in reserves located in Seine-Saint-Denis. On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, come explore this remarkable place of memory and research, gain a clearer understanding of preventive conservation, and marvel at a collection of staggering scale!

    Visiting hours (Saturday and Sunday): 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00 and 15:30. Tour duration: 1h15.
