The celebrated series The Crown continues to make waves, especially after the death of England's Queen Elizabeth II. From November 9, 2022, fans of the royal family and the curious will be able to watch season 5 of the series, which traces the life of the Queen, her children and grandchildren, on the Netflix platform. Meanwhile, filming for the next season is about to begin in the French capital, as Lady Diana's tragic death is tackled. Theaccident under the Pont de l'Alma will not, however, be shown in detail in the series, out of respect for the family.
In season 5 of The Crown, the series focuses on Diana's descent into hell, when Charles cheated on her with Camilla, now her queen consort. Highly publicized in the media, this period particularly shocked the English and damaged the popularity of the royal family. Season 6 will instead focus on the aftermath of Lady Di's death in Paris 25 years ago, when she was chased by paparazzi in a car with her partner Dody Al-Fayed.
Filming will take place in the evening, around the Pont de l'Alma, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, from Tuesday October 25 to Friday October 28, 2022. According to Actu Paris, car and motor vehicle traffic will be prohibited between rue Bayard and place de l'Alma, at cours Albert Ier and voie Georges Pompidou, between 8pm and 5am.
