The Crown: the shooting of the Netflix series begins in Paris, around the death of Lady Diana

While the trailer of the season 5 of The Crown has just been unveiled, the shooting of the season 6 begins this Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Paris, around the death of Lady Diana and her accident at the Alma bridge.

The famous series The Crown continues to make news, especially after the death of England's Queen Elizabeth II. From November 9, 2022, fans of the royal family and the curious will be able to watch on the Netflix platform season 5 of the series, which traces the life of the queen, her children and grandchildren. At the same time, the filming of the next season is about to begin in the French capital, while the tragic death of Lady Diana will be addressed. Theaccident under the Alma bridge will not be shown in detail in the series, however, out of respect for the family.

In season 5 of The Crown, the series focuses on Diana's descent into hell, at the time when Charles cheated on her with Camilla, now her queen consort. Highly publicized, this period particularly shocked the English and damaged the popularity of the royal family. Season 6 will instead evoke the consequences of Lady Di's death in Paris, 25 years ago, when she was chased in a car by paparazzi with her companion Dody Al-Fayed.

The filming will take place in the evening, around the Pont de l'Alma, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, from Tuesday 25 to Friday 28 October 2022. According to Actu Paris, the traffic of cars and motor vehicles will be prohibited between the rue Bayard and the place de l'Alma, at the level of the cours Albert Ier and the voie Georges Pompidou, between 8 pm and 5 am.
