This May 1, marked by Labor Day, is a public holiday for the French. To help you get around the capital, whether on the job or on the sidelines of the inter-union demonstration, we take a look at the RATP's closed stations this Thursday, May 1, 2025. Work, exceptional closures, here's what to expect on the public transport network.

May 1st is Labour Day, International Workers' Day, a public holiday in many countries commemorated by parades and demonstrations, bringing together trade unions and citizens. In Paris, an inter-union demonstration is organized every year in the streets of the capital. This year, the procession will set off from the Place d'Italie at 2pm, arriving at the Place de la Nation.

The May 1st demonstration generally leads to traffic restrictions , and some stations may be closed. In addition, the work schedule of RATP, the Paris public transport network, may also cause disruptions on metro, RER, transilien and tramway lines. To help you get around on this public holiday, whether you're attending the event or going out in the Ile-de-France region, we've put together a list of all the stations that will be closed this Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.

On metro lines :

Line 5:
- On May 1st from 11:00 to 20:00, there will be no service at Quai de la Rapée, Saint-Marcel and Campo-Formio due to a demonstration.

On RER lines:

RER A :
- Traffic is interrupted all day between Maisons-Laffitte and Poissy (Bus 1 reinforced at Saint-Germain-en-Laye and bus at Achères-Ville.)

RERC:
- No trains run between Champ de Mars - Montigny Beauchamp and Pontoise.
- From 11.45pm until late evening,traffic is interrupted between Dourdan and Paris Austerlitz: last train from Dourdan to Paris Austerlitz at 9.07pm, last train from Paris Austerlitz to Dourdan at 10.15pm. A replacement bus service will be set up, serving intermediate stations.
- From 11:45pm until late evening, traffic will be interrupted between Saint-Martin d'Etampes and Paris Austerlitz: Last train from Saint-Martin d'Etampes to Paris Austerlitz at 9:41pm, last train from Paris Austerlitz to Saint-Martin d'Etampes at 10:45pm. A replacement bus service will be provided to intermediate stations.

RERD:
- On May 01 from 10:30 pm to May 02 at 9:15 am, trains will not stop at Stade de France St-Denis on the way to Melun and Corbeil-Essonnes. To reach Stade de France, get off at Paris Gare du Nord and take a train to the north of the line. Reason: construction work.

RER E:
- From 10:45pm, traffic is interrupted between Nanterre-La-Folie and Chelles - Gournay due to roadworks.
- from 22h25, traffic is interrupted between Nanterre-La-Folie and Villiers-sur-Marne - Le Plessis-Trévise and between Nanterre-la-Folie and Tournan. The last NATU train from Tournan to Nanterre-la-Folie is at 9.53pm. The last NOVY train from Villiers-sur-Marne to Nanterre-la-Folie is at 10:19pm. The last TONU train from Nanterre-la-Folie to Tournan is at 9:56pm. The last VONY train from Nanterre-la-Folie to Villiers-sur-Marne is at 22h11. A replacement bus service is available: - From Paris, take the RER A to Noisy-le-Grand Mont-d'Est, from where buses leave for Tournan; From Paris, take the metro 11 to Rosny-Bois-Perrier, from where buses leave for all stations as far as Villiers-sur-Marne (direction Noisy-le-Grand Mont-d'Est RER A); From Tournan to Nogent-le-Perreux for Paris, take the bus to Val-de-Fontenay, then the RER A to Paris; From Villiers-sur-Marne to Rosny-sous-Bois, take the bus to Rosny-Bois-Perrier, then take metro line 11 to Paris. The last two buses from Tournan go to Gare de l'Est; Buses also run between Rosny-Bois-Perrier and Noisy-le-Grand Mont-d'Est RER A.

On tramway lines :

Line T2:
- traffic is interrupted between Porte de Versailles and Suzanne Lenglenendue to major modernization work.
To reach Porte de Versailles from Suzanne Lenglen, walk to Balard station on T3a.

On transilien lines

Line J:
- All day on May 1 and 2, traffic is interrupted between Paris Saint-Lazare/Poissy. Friday: To reach Houilles Carrières sur Seine and Poissy, take the RER A towards Poissy.
- From May 1st to May 2nd, on Thursday and Friday from 21:40 to 03:00, traffic will be interrupted between Gare Saint-Lazare and Mantes-la-Jolie. Replacement buses.

Line L:
- from 21:55, traffic is interrupted between Saint-Cloud <> Versailles Rive Droite. A replacement bus service is in place between Saint-Cloud <> Versailles
- from 10pm, traffic is interrupted between Bécon les Bruyères <> Nanterre Université / Maisons-Laffitte. A replacement bus service is in place between Bécon les Bruyères <> Sartrouville.

Line P:
- from 22:15, traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers due to roadworks. Replacement buses are in place.
- from 22:20, traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Meaux due to roadworks. Replacement buses are in place.
- from 22:00, traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry due to roadworks. Replacement buses are in place.
- from 21:45, traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Provins due to roadworks. Replacement buses are in place.
- from 22:20, traffic is interrupted between Paris Est and Meaux. The last PICI train from Meaux to Paris-Est is at 9.50pm. The last MICI train from Paris-Est to Meaux is at 22h31. A replacement bus service has been set up, serving intermediate stations.
- From 10:15pm,traffic is interrupted between Paris Est and Coulommiers. The last PITU train from Coulommiers to Paris Est leaves at 9.38pm. The last CITU train from Paris Est to Coulommiers leaves at 9:17pm. A replacement bus service has been set up, serving intermediate stations. An additional bus leaves Paris Est at 9:50pm, omnibus from Paris Est to Coulommiers.

Ligne R :
- from 10:44pm, traffic is interrupted between Melun and Montereau via Moret - Veneux-les-Sablons, and between Melun and Montargis due to roadworks. Replacement buses are in place.
- from 22:00, traffic is interrupted on the entire line due to roadworks. Replacement buses will be provided.
