My Master's degree: what should I do if I haven't received an offer of admission?

This Friday, the results came in for undergraduates on the Mon Master platform. While some are delighted with their offer of admission, many others are left with nothing, as has been the case for years. What to do in this situation?

Students ' lives have suddenly become more stressful since the advent of platforms like Parcoursup or Mon Master, which condition the pursuit of studies by motivated young people. Sometimes delighted, often disappointed, they have to deal with numerous rejections after their end-of-year exams, particularly at the end of their bachelor's degree, where many find themselves without admission to a master's program, despite good academic levels or a coherent pursuit of their studies. Fortunately, there are a few recourses available!

If you got your wishes this Friday, congratulations! For the rest of you, take heart: it's still possible to get into a master's program. On the Mon Master platform, if you have a wish, you can refuse it, accept it provisionally while waiting for another answer, or accept it definitively. Don't forget to approve it as soon as possible if you're sure of your choice, to make room for others waiting on the waiting list. This is the case for many students, stuck in these interminable queues.

Check regularly to see if you've gained places or received a new admission offer, between June 25 and July 20, as each day students only have until midnight the following day to respond, which may leave you with places. If you only have places on the waiting list, a withdrawal management phase will enable you to receive offers from July 21, if other candidates leave their places.

If you don't receive any offers, you can contact the rector of the academic region for assistance, or send an e-mail to the director or head of the master's program explaining your situation. Unfortunately, you have to reckon with the fact that some masters courses are not full by the end of August to secure a last-minute place. Some students who can't get a place in France go to Belgium, where admissions are easier depending on your file.
