Bison Futé forecasts a difficult weekend: Traffic tips for August 25 to 28, 2023

We're taking stock of the traffic situation on this return from vacation: indeed, this week precedes the end of the school vacations, which promises us heavy traffic, particularly from Friday to Monday. The main focus is on traffic returning from the seaside areas to the major cities.

From early Friday afternoon, the first congestion will appear, especially in the Paris region. The weekend will also see its share of disruption, with Saturday being particularly busy in the return direction.

• Friday August 25:
  • Leave or cross the Paris region before 2pm.
  • Avoid the A10 between Bordeaux and Orléans from 11am to 8pm.
  • Take care on the A7 in the Rhône valley, the A8, the A9 and the Mont-Blanc tunnel.

• Saturday August 26:
  • Cross Île-de-France before 2pm.
  • Expect disruptions on the A10 between Bordeaux and Poitiers, the A9 between Narbonne and Montpellier, and the A7 in both directions.
  • Access through the Mont-Blanc tunnel will be busy from 10am to 10pm.

• Sunday August 27:
  • Reach or cross the Île-de-France region before 12pm.
  • Avoid freeways A7, A10, A71, A63, A8, A9 and access via the Mont-Blanc tunnel.

• Monday August 28th:
  • Reach or cross Ile-de-France before 2pm.
  • Take care on the A10 and A6 in the Île-de-France region, the A7 in the Rhône valley and the A10 between Tours and Orléans.
