Line 3: Bourse station closed this Tuesday, April 1, here's why

Beware if you're planning to take line 3 of the Paris metro this Tuesday. RATP has announced the closure of the Bourse station on April 1, 2025, "by order of the Préfecture de Police". So why isn't the stop being served today? We answer.

Are you due to travel to the 2nd arrondissement of Paris on April 1, 2025, and thinking of getting off at Bourse station, served by line 3 of the Paris metro? Bad news, you'll have to rethink your plans and your transport itinerary. On Tuesday, RATP announced that " the stop at Bourse will not be served due to security measures requested by the Préfecture de Police ". Bourse station, on metro line 3, is therefore closed on April 1. " The station will be reopened with the authorization of the Préfecture de Police ", it says on X.

However, RATP is not specifying the exact reasons for this temporary closure. So why is Bourse station closed this Tuesday? As it happens, Bourse station is located close to the Palais Brongniart, where French President Emmanuel Macron and Danish King Frederik X are expected. Together, they are due to inaugurate the Franco-Danish Economic Forum.

King Frederik X and his wife Mary of Denmark are currently in France for a three-day state visit. The visit began yesterday, Monday March 31, and is due to end on Wednesday April 2, 2025. According to theÉlysée Palace, as reported by ICI Paris Île-de-France, this state visit should lead to a"strategic partnership between Denmark and France".
